The OM Design series flagship model is the OMD-28, a floorstanding speaker featuring a complex curved cabinet design finished in exquisite wood veneers. The OMD-28 combines uncompromised 2-channel audiophile performance with the benefits of OMNIPOLAR technology. The OMD-28 features dual 8-inch multi layer woven carbon fiber woofers, one 5.25 inch multi-layer carbon fiber/fiberglass hybrid midrange with underhung motor system and a new chambered 28mm titanium dome tweeter mounted in Mirage's patented OMNIGUIDE module (patent number #6,996,243). It uses two downward firing ports to utilize the space between the bottom of the cabinet and the stylish high gloss base as a loading surface to further enhance low-end performance. This ingenious design allows the OMD-28 to reproduce incredibly low frequencies at stunningly high volume levels without sacrificing dynamics. With a frequency response of 25Hz – 20kHz +/- 3db and a usable low frequency response of 18Hz (-10dB anechoic), the OMD-28s are sure to fill out even the largest rooms with incredible bass. High power handling and the ability to tri-wire/tri-amp complete this impressive speaker system.
